Is This Shocking "Food Truth" Preventing You From Reaching Your Full Potential?

Did you know?

The regular and processed food that you’re eating may actually be inhibiting you from performing at your very best. I know that it sounds pretty far-fetched…

However, much stranger than that, it could be TOTALLY TRUE and if you’re like most skeptical people reading this for the very first time then you’ll understandably have a hard time believing it too.

After all, most level headed people would probably agree that it sounds pretty off the wall!

You may want to suspend your disbelief just temporarily because, as an extremely experienced doctor of clinical nutrition, I’m going to show you exactly WHY it’s true – with overwhelming evidence.

The punch in the gut that you’re going to discover, as we go along, is that it’s all based on 100% real and VERIFIED scientific research!

Before we get to that I want to ask you, have you ever eaten a lot of delicious bread and ended up with a full stomach? Of course you have!

Well, now you have a rough idea of what’s slowly happening to you over time when you eat. Your brain is getting “tricked” by your stomach into feeling satisfied.

Yet, you DON’T feel like anything is wrong.

The food that you are likely eating on a daily basis is actually lacking in many of the critical vitamins and other nutritional ingredients that your body desperately needs. Without the right nutrition, IT’S IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOUR BODY TO THRIVE AND FUNCTION at peak levels in order to be healthy.

So what does that have to do with you?

Well, the problem is that scary scientific evidence continues to mount involving the exact foods you are very likely eating on a daily basis. There’s just way too many overwhelming indications that the nutritional value of the food that you’re eating is literally declining with each and every passing year.

The way that most food is grown today, BIG AGRICULTURE is much more concerned with producing “food” as cheaply as possible. And nutrition is pretty much not their concern.

This means you need to consume a lot MORE of the same food to get that same level of nutritional value that you used to get from it. And you can imagine that is really hard to do.

And when you are not consuming enough of the nutrition you need, disease can set right in and harm you. But, on the other hand when you are thoroughly nourishing your body with what it NEEDS on a daily basis then it’s perfectly capable of fighting and warding both off illnesses and diseases.

This helps to make you impervious from that what can bring you down to your knees so you can do what you need to, without interruption. Plus, it can also help to keep you out of the hospital – which is the LAST place you want to end up.

Startling evidence of this is revealed in this important New York Times opinion piece titled “Breeding the Nutrition Out of Our Food”, “Studies published within the past 15 years show that much of our produce is relatively low in phytonutrients, which are the compounds with the potential to reduce the risk of four of our modern scourges: cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and dementia.”

An equally stunning NBC news article on diet and nutrition from 2010 titled, “Nutritional value of fruits and veggies is dwindling: Chemicals that speed growth and impaire ability to absorb soil’s nutrients” didn’t do much better by saying “Today’s conventionally grown produce isn’t as healthful as it was 30 years ago — and it’s only getting worse. The decline in fruits and vegetables was first reported more than 10 years ago by English researcher Anne-Marie Mayer, PhD, who looked at the dwindling mineral concentrations of 20 UK-based crops from the 1930s to the 1980s.”

It then went on to put the nail in the coffin by saying, “In 2004, Donald Davis, PhD, a former researcher with the Biochemical Institute at the University of Texas, Austin, led a team that analyzed 43 fruits and vegetables from 1950 to 1999 and reported reductions in vitamins, minerals, and protein. Using USDA data, he found that broccoli, for example, had 130 mg of calcium in 1950. Today, that number is only 48 mg.”

And this article in HortScience Journal from February 2009 vol. 44 no. 1 15-19 called “Declining Fruit and Vegetable Nutrient Composition: What Is the Evidence?” morbidly said, “The evidence for nutrient declines began to accumulate in the 1940s with observations of (environmental) dilution effects on minerals in many foods and diverse other plants. Recent studies of historical nutrient content data for fruits and vegetables spanning 50 to 70 years show apparent median declines of 5% to 40% or more in minerals, vitamins, and protein in groups of foods, especially in vegetables.”

Dietician Elizabeth Somer, author of “Eat Your Way to Sexy” said “Nutritional supplements… ’fill in the nutritional gaps’ in a well-rounded diet. They help us reach daily nutritional needs that are tough to meet with food alone… Supplements can be one piece of the puzzle in helping us prevent illness, although exercising and eating right are both more crucial.

And to drive the point home, in case you're still not convinced from the research I just showed you'll want to look at what New York Times best selling author Dave Asprey had to say about this subject, "The idea that you can get all your nutrients from food is a fine theory, but virtually impossible in practice.  Soil and water depletion, food and environmental toxins, poor absorption, pesticides, exercise and lack of calories can cause nutrient deficiencies.  There is evidence that consuming nutrients from food is more benneficial than supplements, which is why you should focus on a nutrient rich diet first.

However, it's rarely enough"

- Dave Asprey, author of New York Times bestseller The Bulletproof Diet
